While three more cases of COVID-19 were logged by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health in Friday’s update on the coronavirus pandemic, eight recoveries resulted in a net drop of 5 active cases. 77 persons are currently combatting their infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and 13,827 cases in all have been identified so far in Sheboygan County. Currently, 4 persons are hospitalized here, an increase of one over Thursday.
Another 226 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were added by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services since Thursday, putting the total case count at 609,787. 13 more deaths were confirmed and 7,053 have been confirmed in all. Three more probable deaths were added to a count which now stands at 777.
The Wisconsin Hospitals Association recorded a net gain of 2 patients since Thursday, with 229 persons now hospitalized with COVID-19 in Wisconsin. 78 of those are in ICU beds, and 369 patients are ventilated in all.
52,938 Sheboygan County residents have now received at least 1 dose of vaccine, a gain of 144 since Thursday. And with 46,525 persons fully vaccinated – 193 more than on Thursday – 40.3% of the county population is now fully immunized.
