The Manitowoc County SWAT team took a 40-year-old Mishicot man into custody after a disturbance involving a knife on Sunday.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig says that deputies and EMS personnel responded to a disturbance at about 4:45 PM on Sunday in the 400 block of East Main Street in Mishicot, where three adult victims were able to escape and were taken to Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers for minor injuries.
But it took nearly four hours before the suspect, Derek Kielkopf, could be apprehended. He remains in the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct – Domestic Violence Related, Battery, Recklessly Endangering Safety and for a probation hold.
He was scheduled for his initial court appearance on Monday.
The victims, two females and one male, were between 24 and 27 years old. The Sheriff’s investigation is continuing.
