MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Avisail Garcia hit a 456-foot home run as the Brewers held on to beat the San Diego Padres 5-3 in Milwaukee on Monday night. Manny Pina also homered as Milwaukee snapped San Diego’s nine-game winning streak.
The Padres rallied for three in the ninth, but fell short.
Brandon Woodruff threw seven shutout innings, striking out eight to pick up his third win of the season. Josh Hader nailed down his 11th save.
