A project that will give I-43 a new surface between Wilson/Lima Road and the south county line will be ramping up this week. Until now, much of the prep work didn’t have a major impact on traffic, but paving of the southbound lanes begins this week along with storm sewer repairs, and that will lead to various single lane closures.
Contractors will begin setting up traffic control on Highway 67 between Plymouth and Kiel this week, and at least for now shoulder closures and flagging operations will allow traffic to flow. Full closures are expected beginning in September.
The roundabout project on Highway 28 at County EE is moving towards an expected June completion. Right now the highway remains closed while crews work on the installation of light poles and preparing the new road base for asphalt paving.
