KANSAS CITY, MO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers’ bullpen coughed up the lead late and the Crew wasted another good pitching performance from Corbin Burnes in a 6-4 loss on Wednesday night in Kansas City, as the Royals swept the two-game series.
The Royals scored two runs in the 7th off JP Feyerisen and two in the 8th off Brad Boxberger to pull out the win. Burnes had gone six innings giving up two runs on two hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.
Jackie Bradley Jr. hit his 4th home run of the season for Milwaukee. Kolten Wong and Omar Narvaez also plated runs.
The Brewers are now 21-22 and are just 4-12 since May 1st.
The Brewers have the day off on Thursday before heading to Cincinnati to take on the Reds in a three-game weekend series starting Friday night.
