PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers suffered their fifth straight loss after falling to the Phillies in a 2-0 shutout in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon.
Brandon Woodruff fanned 11 batters but took his first loss of the season after giving up a late home run in the seventh to Alec Bohm.
Zack Wheeler tossed a complete nine-inning shutout to give the Phillies a four-game sweep. He surrendered just three hits while striking out eight to win his third game of the season.
The Brewers now head to Miami for a three-game weekend series against the Marlins beginning Friday night.
