PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers have now lost four in a row. One bad inning did in the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night, as they dropped a one-run game for the 3rd straight night in Philadelphia, losing by a final score of 5-4.
The Phillies scored five times off Freddy Peralta in the first inning, highlighted by a Didi Gregorius grand slam. That was all the offense the Phillies would need. They only had one hit and no runs the rest of the way but the Brewers only managed four runs on this night.
Tyrone Taylor had a home run for Milwaukee. Avisail Garcia went 4-4 with 3 RBI’s and once again the Brewers had runners on base in the 8th and 9th innings but couldn’t cash them in.
Peralta went four innings, giving up the five runs with eight strikeouts. Drew Rasmussen, Brent Suter and Brad Boxberger pitched four scoreless innings.
The Brewers fall to 17-14 and will try to avoid gettting swept Thursday afternoon, as they wrap up the series with the Phillies. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 11:30.
