CHICAGO, IL (WHBL) – Freddy Peralta and two relievers combined on a one-hitter as the Milwaukee Brewers blanked the Chicago Cubs 4-0 at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night. Peralta struck out eight while allowing just a Kris Bryant double in five innings of work for the win.
Brent Suter and Brad Boxberger finished up with four combined no-hit innings as Milwaukee snapped a three-game skid. Travis Shaw hit a three-run homer in the first and Omar Narvaez hit a solo shot in the fourth for the Crew.
Adbert Alzolay allowed all four runs in five frames to take the loss for Chicago. The Cubs had their winning streak stopped at three.
The series wraps up Wednesday afternoon. Brandon Woodruff will get the start for the Brewers. Chicago counters with Kyle Hendricks.
