The 2020 Brown County Breakfast on the Farm was planned to be held at Collins Dairy in Greenleaf but ended up being canceled due to health and safety issues with the pandemic. Seeing as the dairy didn’t get the opportunity to host the breakfast last year, they agreed to host this June instead.
We heard from Brown County Dairy Promotions and they reassured us that this year’s breakfast IS happening, but may look a little different than normal. They informed us over social media what the plan is as of now.
So far, they plan to have families do a 10 to 15-minute audio tour around the farm from their vehicles. People will be able to drive a specific route through the farm while learning about the different aspects of Collins Dairy. Afterward, each vehicle can pick up their to-go breakfasts and either head back home or park the car and eat.
On the bright side, Brown County Dairy Promotions did mention that there will hopefully be some outdoor activities for families to do as well. The committee has a meeting on March 24th, where they plan to finalize details in order to share more with the public about what the 2021 Breakfast on the Farm will look like.
The breakfast will be held at Collins Dairy in Greenleaf on June 6th starting at 8:00 a.m.
