MADISON (WTAQ-WLUK) – Coronavirus numbers Sunday remained low as less than 500 new cases are reported and no new deaths.
The Wisconsin DHS reports 464 new COVID-19 cases Sunday with just a 12% positivity rate which are both down from Saturday’s 689 cases and 17.7% rate.
While new cases are down Sunday, the average rose slightly again Sunday to 626.
No new deaths were reported as the seven day averaged remains at 18 for the third time in February.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 563,960 positive cases, over 2.62 million negative test results and 6,412 deaths.
The DHS considers 549,668 patients to be recovered from COVID-19 while 7,721 cases are active, a decrease from Saturday’s 8,041 active cases.
The Wisconsin Hospital Association says that as of Saturday there are a total of 304 COVID-19 patients receiving hospital care with 80 of those in the ICU.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday the DHS has provided no updated metrics on administered vaccines and residents who have been vaccinated. As of Saturday, 1,387,594 vaccines have been administered in the state as 888,684 residents have received at least one vaccine dose.
For the week of February 21, 195,787 vaccines were administered in Wisconsin.
