City of Sheboygan homeowners who’s ability to keep up on mortgage payments were put in jeopardy by the pandemic are being tossed a lifeline. Along with the Lakeshore Community Action Program, the City has launched the Mortgage Assistance Program for low-to-moderate income households affected by income loss due to COVID-19. Using one of two allocations received through the federal HUD Community Development Block Grant program, eligible households will be provided up to three months of mortgage assistance.
To be eligible, you must reside within city limits, own your home, and show that COVID has caused mortgage payments to be past due, along with other conditions.
