Voters in Sheboygan have decided who will be on the ballot in the April 6th General election. And if yesterday’s votes decided the winner, Council President Ryan Sorenson would have taken the victory. Sorenson took 47.8 percent of the vote yesterday, while Incumbent Mayor Mike Vandersteen garnered 31.6 percent of the vote, and James Tesauro, who won’t be on the ballot in April, took 21 percent of the votes.
There were 7 candidates on the ballot for seats on the school board, and yesterday voters knocked out Josh Fick… leaving Police Chief Chris Domagalski, Public Safety Specialist Santino Laster, Incumbents Ryan Burg & Marcos Guevara, and Katie Checolinski and Rebecca Versey to advance to the spring election in April when three seats will be filled.
The race for Wisconsin state superintendent is shaping-up pretty much as expected. Deborah Kerr and Jill Underly both advanced from yesterday’s primary. Kerr is the former Brown Deer superintendent, and Underly is from Pecatonica. Underly got about 27-percent of the vote, while Kerr got about 26-percent. The two will now run against each other in the April election.
