28% of COVID-19 tests received since Monday, and reported on Tuesday by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, were positive for COVID-19, raising the county’s total for the run of the pandemic by 32 to 12,698. With 25 recoveries in the same period, the active case count rose 7, to 184. One additional county resident required hospitalizations, raising the patient total here to 5.
Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services recorded another 624 positive tests for COVID-19 since Monday, raising the running total to 556,332. 38 deaths were recorded, and 6,204 Wisconsinites have now died from the coronavirus. 82 more persons were hospitalized since Monday, and the state’s COVID patient population was down by one, to 411, with 117 of those in ICU beds.
As of Wednesday, February 17th, Kohler Company will partner with the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health to begin serving as a host for COVID-19 mass vaccinations for eligible populations. Kohler is not an administrator or scheduler for the vaccines; rather, all scheduling will be done through the County DPH – no links to do so were provided at the time of the announcement on Tuesday.
According to data from the Wisconsin DHS, as of Tuesday morning, 10,986 residents in Sheboygan County have received at least one dose of vaccine, equivalent to 9.5% of the population.
