Compared to peak times last November, when daily new cases of COVID-19 were averaging over 250 at times, the rate of new infections in Sheboygan County seems mild. Still, Sheboygan County is considered to exhibit “high” activity, and a high burden rate of 169.4 cases per 100,000 persons. Those metrics are due to be updated later this week.
By the numbers, the County Division of Public Health reports that 22 tests out of 247 results it received since Friday were positive for COVID-19, a rate of nearly 9%.
