Atlanta Hawks guard Kris Dunn will remain sidelined at least two more weeks following ankle surgery, the team announced Thursday.
Dunn signed with Atlanta as a free agent on Nov. 28 after three seasons with the Chicago Bulls. He had surgery on his right ankle on Dec. 29.
“(He) has been participating in impact-based rehabilitation activities including skipping, jumping and spot shooting on court,” the team said in a news release. “He will be reviewed in two weeks and his status will be updated as appropriate.”
Dunn, 26, was the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by Minnesota. He played in 78 games as a rookie with the Timberwolves in 2016-17 before being dealt to Chicago with Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen in exchange for Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton.
He averaged a career-high 13.4 points per game in 2017-18 and owns career averages of 8.3 points, 4.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 227 games (126 starts) with the Timberwolves and Bulls.
