ARLINGTON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Highway Patrol is looking for information related to a rollover crash that killed one person in Columbia County.
Troopers say they discovered a snow-covered Toyota that rolled off Interstate 39 near the Poynette exit on Tuesday.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear when the crash may have occurred, but officers said due to the amount of snow covering the vehicle it appears it had been in the marshy area “for several hours.” Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Wisconsin State Patrol’s DeForest post at 608-846-8500.
The identity of the driver has not been released, pending notification of family.
