(WHBL) – Computer technology is now ubiquitous in the work world, yet many are concerned that their skills might not make the grade, especially when one job disappears and a new one requires confidence on the keyboard. A new, free series from Lakeshore Technical College aims to help achieve that confidence.
Titled “Crush IT”, the series of 30-minute sessions is an expansion of workshops LTC was already providing to current students, making them available at no cost to the general public.
Topics include Microsoft Basic Word and Power Point, and also address college-related subjects that students will need most anywhere they attend, including connecting with the virtual classroom.
LTC’s Director of Student Resources, Foua Hang, said the free courses are especially aimed at those who’ve lost a job and those who want to find a more recession-proof career.
Registration does not require a Lakeshore account. For information or to register, visit gotoltc.edu/crush-it.
