GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Packers are moving on and will play for the NFC Championship, after beating the LA Rams 32-18 at Lambeau Field Saturday.
The Packers used a balanced attack through the air and on the ground to defeat the Rams, ranked as the number one defense in the NFL throughout the regular season.
Aaron Rodgers passed for 296 yards, with 2 TD passes through the air and ran in a 3rd. Aaron Williams led the Packers offense on the ground with 99 yards rushing and one touchdown.
After the Rams had pulled to within one touchdown in the fourth quarter, the Packers defense got a big stop, the offense took over and Allan Lazard caught an Aaron Rodgers pass to put the game away.
The Packers await the outcome of Sunday’s NFC Divisional match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints. The winner of that game will come Lambeau Field to play the Packers next Sunday with a trip to the Super Bowl at stake.
