A Connecticut man is being held on a $500,000 bond until his arraignment after stabbing a grocery store clerk at Walmart earlier this week.
According to investigators, the store clerk scanned a gallon of milk for Hichman Asfir, 40, and told him the price. Asfir proceeded to walk behind the register, grab her by the hair, and stab her in the side of the head with a folding knife.
After the assault, he dropped the knife and sat down until police came to arrest him. Asfir was taken into custody and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
The 19-year-old Walmart clerk was hospitalized and is in stable condition.
