American Sebastian Korda advanced to his first ATP Tour final Tuesday night, and he will face fourth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in the final of the Delray Beach (Fla.) Open.
Korda beat Cameron Norrie of Great Britain 6-3, 7-5 after Hurkacz defeated American qualifier Christian Harrison 7-6 (4), 6-4.
The 20-year-old Korda, who is ranked 119th in the world, and in his first career quarterfinal beat second-seeded John Isner on Monday. Hurkacz, ranked 35th, is seeking his second ATP tournament triumph, having won at Winston-Salem, N.C., in 2019.
Harrison, rated 789th in the world, was competing in his first career semifinal.
Antalya Open
No. 4 seed Alex de Minaur of Australia will face No. 8 Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan for the first time Wednesday when they meet in the final at Antalya, Turkey.
It is the eighth ATP Tour final for de Minaur, who outlasted No. 2 seed David Goffin of Belgium 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in 1 hour, 52 minutes on Tuesday. The 21-year-old has won three singles titles, all in 2019.
Bublik also went the distance, defeating France’s Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-3 in 2:05 in the other semifinal. It is the 23-year-old’s third ATP final, and he is seeking his first title.
