OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada is unhappy with “unwarranted” U.S. tariffs on Canadian solar products and has requested consultations under the terms of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal, Ottawa said on Thursday.
In a statement, Trade Minister Mary Ng said that since the tariffs were imposed in 2018, exports of solar products to the United States had fallen by as much as 82%.
