SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – It was a summer of detoured traffic in central Sheboygan, but the Department of Public Works has good news for travelers using Superior Avenue: work is done and the road is now officially open to traffic.
The improvements to the busy road between Taylor Drive and North 29th Street involved completely replacing the roadway, including storm sewer, sidewalk, street lighting, and traffic signals.
City Engineer Kevin Jump noted that you might still see contractors putting some finishing touches on the project through the fall, and crews still have landscaping that will be done in the spring before the entire project is 100% complete.
