KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ-Reuters) — The 17-year-old accused on shooting three people during a riot over the summer in Kenosha has been released on $2 million bond.
Kyle Rittenhouse bonded out this afternoon, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office.
A judge set his bond at $2 million earlier this month.
Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree reckless homicide and five other criminal counts related to the shootings, which occurred on Aug. 25 in Kenosha during civil unrest sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Rittenhouse’s lawyers say he acted in self defense.
