GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The people at Jet Air, at Austin Straubel International Airport, have been notified to prepare for a visit from President Donald Trump and a Green Bay rally that’s scheduled for 2:30 Friday afternoon.
The President has made many visits to Wisconsin in recent weeks, emphasizing the Badger state’s importance in Tuesday’s election.
“To have Green Bay selected and then to have Jet Air selected is really an honor for us.”
Alan Timmerman is the owner of Jet Air. They’ve hosted big crowds before and will be prepared for the security necessary to handle what’s expected large crowd.
The President’s helicopter, Marine One, and other aircraft will start arriving Thursday ahead of Air Force One.
“We’ve got out hands full for a few days for an event like this”
Timmerman says his staff especially enjoys that chance to service the President’s aircraft.
“Every staff member is working that day and it’s quite an undertaking.”
He says depending on the time of the rally, will determine how quickly afterwards all the aircraft that’s associated with the President’s event will leave the airport.
Timmerman says over the he’s been able to meet four Presidents from his unique vantage point.
Democrat Presidential hopeful Joe Biden is due in Wisconsin for a campaign stop on Friday as well. We’re still waiting to find out the ‘where and when’ for his campaign stop.
