MADISON, WI (WSAU) – On Friday Wisconsin set a new record for new COVID-19 cases. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 3,861 cases. That breaks the single-day record from a day earlier of 3,747.
There were 21 additional COVID-related deaths, bringing the state’s fatality total to 1,574.
There were 135 new hospitalizations across the state. 84.8 hospital beds available in Wisconsin are in use, as are 86.4-percent of ICU beds.
78.4-percent of the state’s 130,231 cases since the pandemic began, have recovered.
