PARIS (Reuters) – Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy is facing new legal charges over the alleged illegal financing of his failed re-election campaign in 2012, the financial prosecutor’s office said on Friday, confirming an earlier Mediapart press report.
On his Facebook page, Sarkozy said he was innocent.
