TOKYO (Reuters) – Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Monday that the Japanese central bank would take additional easing measures if needed to cope with the impact of the coronavirus crisis.
“We will closely monitor the impact of COVID-19 and not hesitate to take additional easing measures as necessary,” Kuroda said, adding:
“The BOJ hasn’t run out of policy tools. We have a lot of policy tools to counter (the damage from COVID-19). We are flexible, innovative when considering measures to take.”
