(WHBL) – There’s a real worry that many bars and restaurants across Wisconsin won’t survive the governor’s latest public health order. Governor Tony Evers on Tuesday ordered bars, restaurants, and most stores in the state to limit crowds to just 25 percent of capacity.
Kristine Hillmer, with the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, says about half of new restaurants in the state will close if that happens. Hillmer says bars and restaurants are just now starting to see crowds return after the governor’s closure orders from the spring and the summer. She says many restaurants just can’t make it with fewer customers.
The governor says the limits are needed to slow the spike in coronavirus numbers in the state.
