MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Wisconsin DHS on Monday is confirming 1,696 new cases of COVID-19.
That’s down from Sunday’s 1,865 new cases and more than 1,000 less than Saturday’s record-breaking 2,892 reported cases of the new virus.
Monday’s percentage of positive tests is just 17.2%, which is down from Saturday’s 20.5%.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 134,359 positive cases, 1,472,577 negative tests, and 1,381 deaths after the DHS reports 4 new COVID-19 deaths Monday.
The DHS considers 108,371 patients to have recovered from COVID-19, while there are still 24,589 active cases.
Wisconsin hospitals are reporting to the DHS 714 total COVID-19 patients receiving hospital care, with 194 of those in the ICU.
2,215 hospital beds are immediately available out of the 11,474 total beds.
The state has a supply of 2,311 ventilators with 382 in use.
