MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – A majority of Mexican Supreme Court judges said President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s request to hold a referendum on whether to allow for the prosecution of former Mexican presidents is constitutional.
Arturo Zaldivar, president of the Supreme Court, announced the court’s 6-5 decision on Thursday during the broadcast of the court’s virtual session.
