MILWAUKEE, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Seven people were wounded Wednesday when a car pulled up to a crowd of about 100 mourners gathering for a funeral on Milwaukee’s north side and someone inside the vehicle opened fire.
Acting Milwaukee Police Chief Michael Brunson: “Our prayers are the victims and their family members during this terrible time. This is an untenable situation. This brazen act that was done in broad daylight is just unacceptable in our city. We are working feverishly to try to identify who committed this act.”
Victims ranged in age from 24 to 48 years old and were men and women. All are expected to survive.
The service at Serenity Funeral Home was for Braxton Taylor, 26, who was shot to death on September 17.
