MADISON, WI (WRN) — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers continues to ask everyone to take the risks associated with the coronavirus pandemic seriously.
The Governor spoke to the media during a briefing on Tuesday.
“We are nine months into this pandemic, and right now it’s not slowing down, it’s picking up speed. We have go to put the brakes on this pandemic,” Evers said.
Evers says too many of us are going about with our daily activities as if there’s no cause for concern.
“Folks it isn’t safe,” said Evers. “We cannot allow this virus to go unchecked, and we have to take steps quickly to flatten the curve, and to stop the spread.”
Evers’ remarks Tuesday come as the state recorded 17 additional deaths due to COVID-19, the most in a single day since May.
