BONDUEL, WI (WSAU) — More than a year after a pair of brothers went missing, a service will be held to honor their lives.
Justin and Nick Diemel disappeared in July of 2019 after traveling to Missouri to collect money for their cattle business. The Diemel brothers disappeared after visiting a farm to collect the payment. Their burned remains were found three months later in both Missouri and Nebraska.
Their remains returned to their home of Navarino Wisconsin on Monday, September 14th where community members lined the street to honor the brothers. A visitation for the Diemel brothers is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27th starting at noon and lasting until 3 p.m. at the Navarino Ball Diamond in Bonduel. A memorial service is scheduled to follow according to obituaries for the brothers.
Garland Nelson of Braymer Missouri is accused of killing the Diemel brothers in July of 2019. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of 1st-degree murder, abandonment of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution, armed criminal action, tampering with a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is awaiting trial in Missouri where the state is seeking the death penalty.
