The DOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced that they decided to extend their COVID-19 Hours of Service (HOS) waivers for those transporting livestock and livestock feed. The extension will go until the end of 2020 to help out the agriculture industry due to the virus.
HOS are put in place to keep truckers safe while out on the road. That’s why they control how long each driver can haul and they require drivers to rest between trips.
