MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)– The average confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the last seven days has grown to 1,043 after the DHS reports 1,353 newly confirmed cases on Saturday.
The 1,043 seven-day average is 53 more than Friday’s average of 985 cases.
While the average number of cases has gone up on Saturday, the percentage of cases has decreased over the last three days as total testing numbers have increased.
11.6% of Saturday’s 11,624 completed testing results came back as positive, which is down from Friday’s 13.8%.
The state DHS is reporting 12 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 1,209.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Wisconsin has had 1,351,908 people tested, 87,603 positive cases, and 1,264,305 negative test results.
Health officials are confirming 76,909 patients have recovered from COVID-19 , with 9,467 cases still active.
Wisconsin hospitals are reporting 2,263 hospital beds are immediately available out of the 11,433 total beds.
There are 326 total COVID–19 patients receiving hospital care with 97 of those patients in intensive care units.
The state has a supply of 2,293 ventilators with 353 in use.
