NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday urged a federal appeals court not to force him to turn over eight years of tax returns to Manhattan’s top prosecutor, who subpoenaed them in connection with a criminal probe of his business practices.
Opposing Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s “dragnet requests for reams” of his papers, Trump made his argument in a filing with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, which has scheduled oral arguments in his appeal for Sept. 25.
