MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin saw 1,369 new confirmed coronavirus cases on Friday, the third highest daily count since the pandemic started.
That’s less than Thursday’s record high of 1,547 and 17.5% positive rate.
On Friday, 8,586 tests came back negative, making the positive rate 13.8%.
The state Department of Health Services also reported four new deaths in Wisconsin.
Since the pandemic began, DHS has confirmed 86,250 coronavirus cases, along with more than 1.2 million negative tests. In Wisconsin, 75,878 people were considered to have recovered from COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
