MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WHBL) – Justin Smoak homered for the Milwaukee Brewers’ lone run as they were routed 7-1 by the Twins in Minneapolis on Thursday night.
Nelson Cruz hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning for the Twins to break open a 2-1 game. Jose Berrios struck out nine while allowing just one hit and one walk in six shutout innings.
Brandon Woodruff gave up two runs over five innings to take the loss for Milwaukee, which has split its last four games to land at 11-12.
