SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The number of facilities being investigated for COVID-19 transmission is down 5 from last week. Fourteen investigations are underway, half of those at long-term care facilities. Among those named are Pine Haven-Haven Drive Campus, Sheboygan Senior Community, Progressive Health Services, Sunny Ridge and Rocky Knoll. One setting such as adult or child day care center, restaurant, event space or religious establishment hosts an investigation, 5 workplaces are involved and 1 health care provider facility is being looked at by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.
As for the numbers, 515 test results were received by the DPH, a substantial increase over Wednesday’s 140. 508 returns were negative and 7 – or about 1.4% – were positive. 826 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have now been recorded in Sheboygan County. Of the 103 active cases, 4 are in the hospital, down by two from 6 on Wednesday. 16 more persons recovered in the previous 24-hours.
Wisconsin overall recorded 12,415 test results. 11,472 were negative while 943, or 7.6%, were positive. 45 more persons entered hospital care, now numbered among the 364 patients being so treated in Wisconsin. 111 are in the ICU, and 342 are on ventilators. Seven more persons have died since Wednesday’s report, adding to the now 1,018 persons lost to the coronavirus in the Badger State.
