SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – It’s been a busy week so far for the National Guard in Sheboygan County. On Tuesday, Guard members responded to the Governor’s call-up to help man voting polls, many of them understaffed due to COVID-19. You may have seen them, but probably didn’t know they were Guard members since they weren’t in uniform.
On Monday this week, a mobile specimen collection team comprised of Citizen Soldiers and Airmen was in Sheboygan Falls to collect specimens at an unnamed long-term living facility. Last Thursday the County Division of Health Services’ facility-wide investigation report identified the two Pine Haven campuses in Sheboygan Falls as having active investigations.
National Guard teams support local and state health agencies’ efforts to increase the COVID-19 testing capacity.
