MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Nick Madrigal walked in the go-ahead run with the bases loaded in the eighth inning as the Chicago White Sox rallied past the Brewers 6-4 in Milwaukee on Monday night.
Yoan Moncada added some insurance with a solo homer in the ninth, while Jose Abreu hit a game-tying two-run blast in the seventh for Chicago. Ross Detwiler got the win and Alex Colome notched his second save as the Sox improved to 6-4 on the year.
Avisail Garcia drove in three runs for the Brewers on a single and a double. Ben Gamel also singled in a run for Milwaukee, who fell to 3-4. David Phelps took the loss.
The two teams will battle again Tuesday night at Miller Park before the series shifts to Chicago Wednesday and Thursday.
