If you haven’t made it to the beach yet this Summer, you still have some time left! This is the perfect way to get outside and still be safe. We wanted to share our favorite beaches in Northeast Wisconsin so you can add them to your list!
Elkhart Lake Fireman’s Park
- Elkhart Lake, WI
- Hours: 10 AM – 8 PM Daily
- Address: 411 S Lake St, Elkhart Lake, WI 53020
The best part about this beach is that the water’s very clear and they welcome carry-ins. They also have volleyball courts and a little shop just in case you need anything.
Cedar Lake Beach (The Lake House on Cedar Lake)
- Kiel, WI
- Address: 14136 Cedar Lake Rd, Kiel, WI 53042
There’s also a restaurant on site with a tiki bar!
Crescent Beach
- Algoma, WI
- 24/7 access
- Address: 1025 Lake St, Algoma, WI 54201
The best part about this beach is that it’s a very long beach with a cool boardwalk right on Lake Michigan.
The only downfall is that the beach is filled with sticks, rocks, and shells. If the kids are looking for somewhere to build sandcastles, this might not be the one for you. If you’re just looking for a relaxing place to chill, you’re coming to the right area!
Selner Park Beach
- Kewaunee, WI
- 24/7 access
- 718 Main St, Kewaunee, WI 54216
Selner Park Beach is another great one to visit on the shores of Lake Michigan.
After playing some beach volleyball, you can try your hand at finding beach glass!
Lake Park
- Black Creek, WI
- Hours: 9 AM – 9 PM
- 303 E Mary St, Black Creek, WI 54106
Lake Park is a town favorite for those that want a quiet day at the beach. This is one of the few beaches that isn’t on Lake Michigan, but that’s a plus because the water won’t be freezing cold.
South Park Beach
- Waupaca, WI
- Hours: 9 AM – 8 PM (Monday – Friday) 9 AM – 6 PM (Saturday – Sunday)
- 921 S Main St, Waupaca, WI 54981
This beach is a little different than the others because they have lifeguards on site and also have a water slide! The beach offers plenty of space for getting a tan or sitting in the shade.
Neshotah Park
- Two Rivers, WI
- Hours: 6 AM – 11 PM
-
2111 Pierce St, Two Rivers, WI 54241
Neshotah is one of the busier beaches off of Lake Michigan. This year the waters a little higher so the beach isn’t as wide as normal, but still very long.
Shawano County Park Beach
- Shawano, WI
- Hours: 7 AM – 10 PM
- W5791 Lake Dr, Shawano, WI 54166
This beach is also on a campground, so it stays pretty busy on the weekends. If the beaches were ranked by how nice the sand is, this one would take the top spot. A very wide beach that’s well taken care of.
Kohler-Andrae State Park
- Sheboygan, WI
- Hours: 6 AM – 11 PM
- 1020 Beach Park Ln, Sheboygan, WI 53081
The park has two beaches you can hangout at, along with a cool boardwalk that leads to the sand.
Since the beaches are inside a Wisconsin state park, you’ll need a park sticker to enter. The good news is that you can purchase a state park sticker online.
Whitefish Dunes State Park Beach
- Sturgeon Bay, WI
- Hours: 6 AM – 8 PM
- 3275 Clarks Lake Rd, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235
Once again, since this is a state park, you’ll need to have a sticker before entering the park.
The waves may be rough at times, but there’s a few pro’s to visiting this beach.
- You can bring your dogs to the “dog beach” at the park.
- You’re right next to Cave Point County Park, which is also worth going to.
- They offer kayak rentals on shore.
Now it’s time to get out there and see all of the awesome beaches Northeast Wisconsin has to offer. We still have a couple months of sunshine and warm weather left, don’t let it go to waste!
See you on the beach!
