(WHBL) – When Governor Evers declared a 60-day Health Emergency in Wisconsin and issued an order that all persons 5 and older wear masks in enclosed spaces – including at home when a non-family member is present – he said that he expected it to be challenged. It didn’t take long for that to materialize.
In a statement released shortly after the Governor’s announcement, Republican State Senator Devin LeMahieu of Oostburg called the mandate “another overreach by Governor Tony Evers.” LeMahieu said, “In declaring a brand new state of emergency along with a mask edict, the administration is again attempting to circumvent the Legislature.”
LeMahieu said that the Legislature “needs to look into every available avenue to block this order.”
