MADISON, WI (WRN) – The latest push to make the November election as safe and secure as possible has something that’s rarely seen in Wisconsin, agreement from both Republicans and Democrats.
A group of current Democratic elected officials and a group of former Republican elected officials yesterday announced the VoteSafe initiative.
The idea is to make sure that there is both in-person and absentee voting this fall.
But, the group’s co-chair former Wisconsin Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said absentee voting must be secure.
He has no problems with voting by mail, but is concerned about mass-mailing absentee ballot applications to homes across the state.
