(WHBL) – Vehicle owners who were required to complete an emissions test for registration renewal after March 12th were given a reprieve when the state extended their deadlines, but that extension ends July 31st, so those persons have a little over a week to complete their tests.
According to DMV Administrator Kristina Boardman, testing facilities that suspended operations due to the pandemic in March and April are now back to nearly full capacity and, beginning August 1st, the requirement to pass an emission test before renewing a vehicle registration resumes. That applies to motorists with vehicles registered in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Washington and Waukesha counties.
A list of testing facilities is available at wisconsinVIP.org.
