Brazil’s sanitation sector expected to receive $110 billion in investments, says economy minister

BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazil’s sanitation sector is expected to receive between 600 billion reais ($111.60 billion) and 700 billion reais in investments in the coming years, Economy Minister Paulo Guedes said on Wednesday.

A new bill passed in June is expected to prompt states and municipalities to privatize water and sewage companies, drawing investors.
