SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) – One person was arrested after a wrong-way high speed chase on I-43 early Friday morning.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says they got a report of a vehicle driving southbound in the northbound lanes between Oostburg and Cedar Grove. The deputy pursued the vehicle into Ozaukee County, with the chase reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
The car went into the ditch south of Belgium and the driver was arrested for fleeing, Operating While Intoxicated, and Reckless Endangerment.
A number of vehicles were forced off of the road during the chase. One was damaged.
