SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – 20 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the last day, and along with 6 cases added both Saturday and again on Sunday, the total number of positive coronavirus tests in Sheboygan County is now 321. 9 more persons recovered, leaving an active case load of 91, two of them hospitalized. The three-day running positive percent of tests is just over 8%. Once again, the County Division of Public Health attributes no single link to the 32 new cases; they are the result of contacts with known positive cases, as well as that of generalized community spread.
By age group, 121 – or more than 2/3 of cases – in Sheboygan County have been experienced by those 19-20 years old. 90 cases, or 28%, were in the 40-59 age group, 57 in those 60-79, 39 were under age 20, and 14 were 80 and older.
After rising each day since Thursday, the positive test percentage in Wisconsin finally took a downward dip today, from yesterday’s peak of just over 10% to 7-1/2% today. 494 new confirmed positives were added. There have been no deaths due to COVID-19 in Wisconsin during the last 24 hours.
