(WHBL) – Tax deadline is one week away! It’s something we’re not accustomed to thinking about in July, but this is – of course – an unusual year and one can’t be blamed for having other things on the mind. And so just in case you’ve missed it, the new deadline for filing your state and federal returns is July 15th…next Wednesday.
The later filing date applies to all individual returns, trusts and corporations, and also applies to any estimated quarterly payments that were due in April. If you can’t make the filing deadline, you can request an extension as usual through the IRS. However, if you don’t make an estimated payment by then penalties and interest will begin adding up after July 15th.
