SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan Common Council met Monday night in special session and named Ryan Sorenson the new Council President.
One week ago, the council selected Todd Wolf to take over for City Administrator Darrell Hofland, who announced his retirement this spring. Hofland’s last day with the city is Friday.
Usually the Vice President of the Council would move into the role of President, but Mary Lynne Donohue sent a letter to the City Attorney indicating that she didn’t wish to take the role.
Sorenson, who currently serves as Committee of the Whole Chairperson, was unanimously named the Council President.
